Our School
It is an honor to be the Program Administrator for our Community Transition Program (CTP) in the David Douglas School District. As a special educator in the district for over 20+ years, my heart and soul are invested in seeing our students thrive in their post-high school experience.
David Douglas School District provides Transition Services to students ages 18-21 who have an Individual Education Plan, or IEP, and have received a Modified Diploma, Extended Diploma, or Certificate of Attendance.
Transition services are defined as educational activities and supports designed to assist students with disabilities in reaching measurable postsecondary goals and outcomes.
Post-High School Transition services covered at CTP highlight five main domains of adult transition:
- Academics for Life and Adult Education
- Independent Living Skills
- Vocational Training
- Community Participation
- Recreation and Leisure Opportunities
I look forward to meeting and working alongside you or your adult student. Welcome to CTP!
